OMNISPACE

“Omnispace” is a light art installation where a projector projects onto a hemispherical mirror. The video animation “Primordial-Mirror” used in the installation was created in 2017 with the intention of projecting a single projector onto a hemispherical mirror – as a light source that works in all directions – on the walls of the exhibition. The name of the installation (“Omnispace”) refers to this single light source. The projector projects a distorted image onto the hemispherical mirror, but it appears undistorted on the mirror’s surface along with the audience’s reflection. The projected image surrounds the viewer and creates an experience where the viewer looks at his reflection and the image of the outside world as if it were seen through the selfie camera.
The video was made for the group exhibition “INSTINCT – ANCESTOR” and its theme is the inner animal instincts such as breathing, fleeing in fear, digestion and feeding.
“Omnispace” is an installation that invites the viewer to get lost in a mesmerizing world of ever-changing light patterns, as the distorted image of the projector is projected onto the walls of the exhibition space, and the viewer’s reflection becomes part of the projected world.
The 12:30 minute video explores the theme of the elemental instinct world, exploring our feelings, fears, desires and basic bodily life processes that invisibly influence and distort our perception.
By combining the viewer’s reflection with the projected image, “Omnispace” creates a situation in which one can both look at oneself and perhaps see behind the projected bubble. The installation invites viewers to reflect on their innermost instincts and how they shape and distort our perception.

A vetรญtett kรฉp kรถrรผlveszi a nรฉzล‘t, รฉs egy olyan รฉlmรฉnyt teremt, ahol az ember รบgy nรฉzi a tรผkรถrkรฉpรฉt รฉs benne egyรผtt a kรผlvilรกg kรฉpรฉt, mintha azt a szelfi kamerรกjรกn keresztรผl lรกtnรก. A videรณ az “INSTINCT – ANCESTOR /ร–sztรถn – ลs” cรญmลฑ csoportos kiรกllรญtรกsra kรฉszรผlt, รฉs tรฉmรกjรกban a belsล‘ รกllati รถsztรถnkรฉpeit dolgozza fel, mint pรฉldรกul a lรฉgzรฉs, a fรฉlelemben valรณ menekรผlรฉs, az emรฉsztรฉs รฉs a tรกplรกlkozรกs.

Az “Omnispace” egy olyan installรกciรณ, amely arra hรญvja a nรฉzล‘ket, hogy vesszenek el a folyamatosan vรกltozรณ fรฉnymintรกk hipnotizรกlรณ vilรกgรกban, mikรถzben a projektor torzรญtott kรฉpe a kiรกllรญtรณtรฉr falaira vetรผl, รฉs a nรฉzล‘ tรผkรถrkรฉpรฉnek kรฉpe a vetรญtett vilรกg rรฉszรฉvรฉ vรกlik.

A 12:30 perces videรณ az elemi รถsztรถnvilรกg tรฉmรกjรกt jรกrja kรถrรผl, รฉs รฉrzรฉseinket, fรฉlelmeinket, vรกgyainkat รฉs alapvetล‘ testi รฉletfolyamatainkat jรกrja kรถrรผl, amelyek lรกthatatlan mรณdon befolyรกsoljรกk รฉs torzรญtjรกk รฉrzรฉkelรฉsรผnket.

A nรฉzล‘ tรผkรถrkรฉpรฉnek รฉs a vetรญtett kรฉpnek a kombinรกlรกsรกval az “Omnispace” olyan helyzetet teremt, amelyben az ember egyszerre nรฉzhet รถnmagรกra รฉs talรกn a kivetรญtett buborรฉkvilรกg mรถgรฉ is lรกthat. Az installรกciรณ arra hรญvja a nรฉzล‘it, hogy gondolkodjanak el legbelsล‘bb รถsztรถneiken รฉs azon, hogy ezek mikรฉnt alakรญtjรกk รฉs torzรญtjรกk รฉrzรฉkelรฉsรผnket.

The first version was exhibited at the Latarka Gallery of the Polish Institute, Budapest in 2017, where it projected onto the vaulted ceiling of the basement of the exhibition space:
